              POZÒ WARRANTY

Important information for the buyer of a fly rod or Blank Pozò

  1. Nature of these conditions

1.1 These warranty conditions are an integral part of the contract of sale.

1.2 By purchasing a fly rod or Blank Pozò, the customer agrees to all terms and conditions contained herein.

  1. Duration of warranty

2.1 The purchaser of a fly fishing rod or Blank Pozò benefits from a 3-year warranty.

2.2 The warranty period begins on the date of the invoice or receipt issued by Pozò Fly Fishing or the authorized dealer.

  1. Subject of warranty

3.1 The Pozò warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the rod or shaft if the defect is due to a factory problem affecting bindings, grips, and reel holders.

3.2 The warranty does not cover direct, indirect, accidental, or any other type of damage resulting from the use of the product, especially breakage related to improper use of the equipment.

3.3 The warranty does not cover fire, theft, loss (for any reason), modification or customization of the finished barrel, damage during the assembly of a Blank into a finished barrel.

  1. Conditions for claiming the warranty

4.1 Within 14 days of purchasing the rod or Blank, the buyer must have returned Part " A " of the registration card (provided with the equipment by the seller):

4.2 If the buyer resells the Pozò rod or Blank to a third party while the warranty period is still running, the new owner must notify Pozò Fly Fishing. Resale does not open a new warranty period.

4.3 The purchaser shall inspect the purchased equipment and immediately report any manufacturing defects.

4.4 The purchaser shall return or return defective items accompanied by a copy of the invoice or receipt to Pozò Fly Fishing or the authorized dealer.

4.5 The cost of shipping to Pozò shall be borne by the purchaser of the barrel or drum. He is responsible for alteration of the goods in case of shipment.

5. Replacement of parts under warranty

5.1 Only those parts with a factory defect affecting the bindings, handles, and reel holders will be replaced or repaired under warranty and according to the prices below.

5.2 Any other defect will be the subject of a separate estimate which will be submitted to the owner of the barrel or drum. If he accepts it, he will be charged for the cost of repairs.

5.3 For a Pozò warranty replacement service, the rates charged to the owner are as follows.

- For a mounted rod

o Cimino 70.- out of warranty 90.

o Intermediate element 80.- out of warranty 110.

o Heel not guaranteed.

o Extra shipping costs

          - For a Blank

o Mi-tix : Fr.50.- / item

o TR3 : Fr.40.- / item

o Travel & MT4 & Midicast: Fr.35.- / item

5.4 Rates may change according to changes in the cost of living, relying on the Swiss index.

5.5 Pozò Fly Fishing does not guarantee uniformity of color or components between original and replacement parts.

5.6 Shipping costs for return to the owner and liability for alterations within the scope of such shipment shall be borne by Pozò.

6. Data Protection.

Pozò agrees to keep the data obtained in connection with the warranty solely for its own use.

7. In case of dispute

Swiss law applies. Any dispute must be submitted to the Regional Court of the Mountain and Val-de-Ruz, located at CH-2300 La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.

8. Warranty version 3.1 January 2023

- Warranty. Warranty terms that apply to the goods or services sold in the transaction.

        - Data protection. Use of collected data, encryption techniques, etc.

        - Orders. Terms of billing, payment, VAT, etc.

        - Delivery. Delivery areas, delivery times, etc.

        - Liability. For example, liability if goods are altered during shipment.

        - Return. Return or exchange policy.

        - Applicable law and jurisdiction. Law and jurisdiction in case of dispute (reference to Swiss law).

REELS

Pozò reels are covered by a 2-year warranty (1 year for reel series made of composite plastic fiber) against defects in workmanship and materials.

The warranty is limited to the first owner.

It runs from the date of purchase.

What to do in case of breakage

FIRST

The first owner must have the reel sent, through the authorized Pozò store or directly to Pozò Fly Fishing , along with the certificate of purchase .

Pozò Fly Fishing. will inspect the cause of the rupture

  • for damage due to a defect in workmanship,determined at the sole discretion of Pozò Fly Fishing,will perform repair or replacement,partial or total without charge.
  • for damage/malfunctioning determined by negligence,misuse,accidents,tampering,established at the sole discretion of Pozò Fly Fishing,where possible will consider the possibility of performing repair or replacement,partial or total with specific charge,subject to full approval of the total cost of the intervention by the first owner of the reel.

The cost of transportation/shipping/delivery from Pozò Fly Fishing headquarters to the store or address of the first owner is unified for all reel models and for the geographic area Europe is 40 euros .

SILK FLY LINES

Pozò silk fly lines are guaranteed against possible manufacturing defects.

The purchaser is required to report within five days from the date of purchase any defect or abnormality. After this period, the warranty will automatically expire.

This time limitation is due to multiple reasons,such as to name a few:

  • the purchaser has a way to immediately notice any manufacturing defect contextually at the time he or she winds the new tail onto the reel.
  • The tail is subject to wear and tear as a function of improper use ( training launches on surfaces other than water).
  • The tail is subject to rapid deterioration if used in brackish,acidic,polluted waters.
  • The tail is subject to premature wear and rapid deterioration,if one does not take the precaution of performing normal maintenance (washing and lubrication)
  • The tail in the vaulting phase may touch or even knot itself to objects located within its range.
  • The tail may be accidentally stepped on sharp or rocky surfaces,or become entangled in metal debris or stones while casting or fishing.

Care and
maintenance

RODS

  • When assembling and disassembling, avoid rotating the sections in order to ensure a longer life of the couplings.
  • With some frequency, at the inserts, proceed to grease with pure kerosene, or common wax.
  • You can wash the cork handle with mild soap and water, avoiding longitudinal action.
  • After use in brackish water we suggest washing the entire rod thoroughly as soon as possible.
  • In order to prevent loosening at the grafts when fishing, we suggest that you check their tightening with a good frequency, especially if you use wrist-rotation casting techniques or use heavy streamers.

    REELS

    • We suggest inspecting the reel periodically to perform cleaning and greasing.
    • After use in brackish water we recommend thorough washing.Proceed with greasing after complete drying.
    • At least once a year check the tightening of all screws.

      SILK FLY LINES

      • Avoid storing them in places exposed to sunlight.
      • Frequently do a wash with mild soap and water.After drying, carry out lubrication with appropriate solvent-free lubricants.
      • After use at sea, wash thoroughly in fresh water and then carry out lubrication.
